Looks like Newshound is emerging as a clear winner at this stage. I
have to say it seems extrememly stable.
I downloaded Messenger 1.0 last night and spent several hours playing
with it. Whilst it has a few problems still - it will be several
weeks yet (at the very least) before any kind of Acornet release that
may or maynot include it - so there is perhaps time for the problems
to be ironed out. I really would prefer to only include versions of
things that we know to be reasonably stable - even if that means
dropping down to a slightly previous version. (Obviously with
Messenger thats not possible).
I have to say that my inital reactions were 'WOW'. Its
real nice - with loads of extra features. If you haven't checked it
out - please do so.
I shall download the latest ttfn in the next day or so and do the
same with that.
I think this may have to come to a vote. I personally don't think
that both ttfn and messenger should be included. However I intend to
try and make the frontend aware of possible alternatives so that they
can be added in fairly easily somehow.
